Sitting in a local bus in India, being stared at and verbally harassed while reading about cross dresser problems on tumblr
No offence, but honestly, why should we care? We all already know that there are plenty of problems for women in India due to sexism, but complaining about it is pointless. All you have to do in cases like this is keep your head up, because things will get better eventually.
I’m an activist in India- I dont complain- I do. And I fight for things to get better. There are so many women in India who just cannot deal with sexism the way I’m educated/empowered enough to deal with. Thought I’d share it on tumblr.
I am honestly puzzled as to why someone would get all high and mighty on what I viewed as a personal post. It was one sentence, a personal remark on something ironic yet sad not an article on the state of sexism in India. Do you also post “Why should we care?” on every text post about eating candy, getting a C- in school or petting one’s cat? It was a serious issue but it was also just a personal post, calm down.
Moose are so big, holy shit I thought they were like deer size
holy shit I thought that was a fucking dinosaur
I kno what the heck
Welcome to Canada.
is it just me or does this look photoshopped for some reason? Either that or those are rather small trees…
Just young trees. Here’s a moose next to a lady at a moose farm:

I wish this had way more notes.
After being long depressed over my first Pullip, Bloody Red Hood’s hair getting extremely frizzy after brushing her hair with a plastic doll brush (never doing that to any Pullip ever again, and highly advise against it) and thinking it was about time to rewig her; this was not something I wanted…
Even regular conditioner works miracles for low quality wigs but the trick is to leave it in for overnight, maybe even longer.
The trick is to always go into the water (because Nirnroot always grows near water) and look towards the shore/riverbank/whathaveyou. Always works for me.
My problem is that Nirnroot makes sush a beautiful sound that I don’t want to pluck it. And it doesn’t grow back!! I’m literally taking away beauty from the world and it feels horrible.
Hands down the best piece of fanfiction I have ever read. I am seriously impressed. Features a F!Hawke that undergoes a failed Rite of Tranquility, the bandits who hold her captive, Fenris and the rest of the crew. For older audiences because it features such dark themes, nothing explicit though.
im appropriating internet culture by posting online
Wearing dreadlocks as a white person isn’t inherently racist, it’s just unfair because you get to wear a hairstyle that many black people can’t because it’s deemed “unprofessional” and “wild” and white people with dreadlocks are seen as dirty hippies just as often as they’re seen as edgy, nuanced or “alternative” whereas a black person with dreads is unkempt and lazy and can and do lose jobs over their choice to wear their hair in a natural state whereas it’s a white person’s “alternative”.
Yoga is not racist, doing yoga isn’t racist, but the way it’s been popularized and commercialized and stripped of all DEEPLY spiritual connotation and what little remains is overwhelmingly misinterpreted and misrepresented that it becomes appropriation and is racist. It may not be SPECIFICALLY YOU who did this, but in buying into the commercialization of yoga you are contributing to it which sucks.
Eating Mexican food isn’t racist I am Mexican eat all the food you want just don’t steal the recipes and put your stupid TexMex twist on them to make them more palatable(waka waka waka) to an exclusively white audience?
White people can joke about white people just understand that the jokes are at your disgust and contempt for fellow whiteys without any of the “This is cathartic because I live it” reasons your PoC friends have?
Watching anime and cosplaying doesn’t make you racist, being a fetishizing creep about Japanese people does and the two do not even remotely go hand in hand? Wearing kimonos isn’t cosplay because it’s a culturally significant attire and not a costume and treating it like one IS racist.
Wanting to travel the world to culturally enrich yourself is a great thing but treating other people and cultures like they ONLY EXIST to enlighten you is so fucked up I don’t actually know where to begin explaining how self centered and jingoistic it is?
Like, okay, the white chick covering the mouth of the black girl, that’s racist, that’s silencing a black woman in her own space, that’s bad, that’s telling her what to think, that’s the blatant overtone of white supremacy in feminist movements in a nutshell, but that idiot got it wrong in the first place about why dreadlocks are racist so she’s as bad if not worse at missing the point and being willfully obtuse than OP is.
None of these are very difficult concepts to grasp, like, you’d flip your shit if you saw someone wearing a t-shirt of your favorite band but they’d only heard two songs on the radio by them, why would a white American wear their dreadlocks up in a kimono on their way to yoga and think that was okay instead?
I’m glad someone picked this apart because I was just too dumbfounded too. Also, nice job creating the “taking it too far” social activist fat while you and your (imaginary) token black friend are thin, and conventionally pretty.
I don’t think the praised comment is entirely right either but the righteous mindset of many tumblrers has made me literally too scared to speak my mind on this site.
Objective article on stone paper, it’s pros and cons and how it’s being greenwashed but might still be a good alternative to regular paper.
